Our History

Since 1962, MONOFLO has been a family business with its headoffice and central warehouse in Heppenheim (approx. 50 km from Frankfurt am Main). Today, the Monoflo Group employs over 400 people worldwide, production and sales are organised globally and CNC metalworking has been expanded as an independent production area.


  • 1962 - Foundation of the company MONOFLO by Helmut Rader, Senior. Monoflo specialises in the production and distribution of automatic watering systems for farm animals.
  • 1971 - Relocation of the headquarters and manufacturing to the USA - the sales office for Europe, Africa and the Middle East remains in Heppenheim.
  • 1990 - Takeover and management of MONOFLO in Heppenheim by Helmut Rader, jun.
  • 2001 - Move of Monoflo Germany into a new and own warehouse with 1,200 sqm storage and office space.
  • 2003 - Start of contract manufacturing of construction elements for the chemical and solar industries, with a focus on solar mounting systems in stainless steel.
  • 2006 - Start of a multi-stage modernisation phase of the machinery for the plants in Bulgaria and Turkey. We invest in several CNC machines for milling, turning, eroding, as well as for bending and cutting tubes.
  • 2008 - The last phase of modernisation for the time being is completed by the purchase of a CNC laser cutting machine, a welding robot and a third CNC milling machine for the plant in Bulgaria

  • 2012 - We celebrate our 50th anniversary! 5 new jobs were created in the office and the warehouse was expanded by 840 pallet spaces.
  • 2018 - We invest in two CNC laser fibre machines, a 3-D bending machine for wires up to 8.0mm and a 3-D tube bending machine.
  • 2019 - Move to new hall with 3000m²
